Price list

What things cost, set out plainly. Procedural fees are quoted as a range because the work varies with the size of the area, the number of passes and whether sedation is required — your written report gives you a firm figure for your case.

Every price on this page is in Australian dollars. Where a Medicare item number applies, the rebate is shown separately so you can see what you actually pay. Rebates are available to eligible patients with a valid referral; overseas patients are not eligible for Medicare.

Scar revision treatments

Acne scarring and scars of all kinds

Medicare has specific criteria for scar revision procedures. Where the relevant Medicare requirements are met, rebates may apply to procedures such as fully ablative laser resurfacing, subcision and surgical excision. Medicare rebates generally do not apply to procedures such as fractional laser treatments, TCA CROSS or soft-tissue injectables.

The final cost of treatment varies depending on several factors, including:

  • Complexity and extent of the treatment required
  • Whether I perform or am directly involved in the procedure
  • Medicare rebate available
  • Whether you have reached the relevant Medicare Safety Net threshold
  • Your level of private health insurance cover

A more accurate estimate can be provided once your scars and treatment plan have been assessed.

CO₂ or non-ablative / hybrid fractional lasers Price varies according to who performs the procedure — myself or the nursing team — the surface area treated, and the laser technology employed.
$990 – $2,990 per session
TCA CROSS / paint Price varies according to who performs the procedure (myself or my nursing team), and the number of scars treated.
$890 – $1,990 per session
Surgical subcision & excision Price varies depending on who performs the procedure. Nurses perform cannula subcision; I perform both cannula and sharp subcision. Some cases are covered by private health insurance.
$790 – $3,990 Medicare rebate applies where I am involved
Fully ablative laser resurfacing — CO₂ / erbium Pricing varies with the complexity of the treatment and whether general anaesthesia or sedation is required. Some cases are covered by private health insurance.

Injectables for scar revision Pricing varies with the product used and who performs the procedure. Rejuran from $990; collagen-stimulating injectables from $1,490 per syringe; steroid / 5‑FU injections $590–$790.
From $590 Medicare rebate applies where I am involved, for the steroid / 5‑FU injections

* A TGA ruling applies when it comes to naming. Logic prevails: safe treatments are not allowed to be named, but treatments which are unsafe, including non-approved treatments, are allowed to be mentioned. For example, a clinician is allowed to mention the use of silicone, which they may inject and obtain from Bunnings; however, they are prohibited from mentioning what the TGA has approved to be a safe injectable with robust studies. Go figure.
